The Social AI Field Guide
Techniques, principles and stories about how AI can strengthen human collaboration.
What happens when you take the words people actually said in a meeting, feed them back through AI, and let the group see what they really share? Ownership shifts. Energy changes. Plans become theirs, not yours.
This field guide documents what I learned from two years of experimenting with AI in collaborative group processes. It covers techniques across three phases, grounded in 6 principles about keeping the human at the center.
What you will find inside:
- Phase 1: Capture — Recording what people say, in their own words. Because those words matter.
- Phase 2: Deepen — Making patterns visible, reflecting back in real-time, refining together.
- Phase 3: Scale — Working with patterns across sessions and groups. The first technique, patterns over time, is live.
- 6 principles that run through everything: from ownership through language to designing the human experience first.
About the translation
This field guide was originally written in Dutch, for the Dutch cultural context. The stories come from sessions in the Netherlands: mental health networks, municipalities, community evenings. But the principles (ownership through language, timing over perfection, prompting the people first) work across cultures. That is why an English translation is now available.
